Bluetooth pairing the Nike Fuelband SE to Iphone 5?

Is anyone having issues bluetooth pairing the Nike Fuelband SE to Iphone 5? I have tried restarting both devices, waiting until the band is charged fully, maybe my band is defective? I even factory reset my Fuelband SE and it still wont pair, my Iphone will pair with my kindle so I know it's working.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.3

I have the same issue. Today I have contacted the customer care by email and this is what they have answered:

Thank you for reaching out to us here at Nike+ Support! The Nike+ FuelBand SE is an awesome tool for tracking and improving your performance, so I can understand it must be frustrating having issues syncing it with your FuelBand App! I would be delighted to help you with this, so let's see how I can do that!

First of all could you press and hold the FuelBand button until you see the “Bluetooth” option. Verify that it shows “On”. If “Off”, click the button once to toggle to “On”.

- Toggle off/on Bluetooth on the iPhone

- Force close and re-open app

- Plug band into PC for 30 seconds and remove and try to reestablish band app connectivity

- Soft reset of iPhone

- Factory Reset (Note: after reset you will see zero fuel on band. If you shake the band to get at least one fuel on the band and replug in to Connect it will load your old numbers onto the band)

If the steps above are unsuccessful, this is likely not to be a hardware issue and and kindly suggest that for the time being you sync via your computer. Could you confirm for me please whether you installed the App for the first time OR upgraded from version 1.5. If you upgraded the app, did you log out/log back in before attempting to sync? Please let me know how this works out for you and I will gladly help you further!

I followed the instructions but nothing..

Still waiting for more news from Nike.

Even I am facing the same problem. Tried everything, including factory resetting the band and restoring my 5s but in vain.

I can detect my fuelband with my laptop but not with my 5s.

I tried pairing the fuelband with 4s, 5, and 5s but doesnot pair with any of those iphones.

Nike people said they will let SE owners know about the update asap.

Cant believe Nike launched a product without testing it.!! 😟

None of the above worked its as if the bluetooth on the band isn't working all my other bluetooth equipment sync with all my apple products no problem but the band isn't found so it's a waste of time trying the app.

I'm hoping a firmware update will fix this .

I contacted NIKE to let them know that the above hasn't worked but am still waiting for a reply , I'll post it here when I receive it.

I also contacted the Nike support because the bluetooth sync with my iPhone 5 does not work.

Since none of the suggested steps (reset FuelBand, reinstall app, etc.) worked, they just sent me an eMail saying that there is an error in the app OR the firmware of the FuelBand. They are working on it and will let me know when the problem is solved.

I ended exchanging mine at the Apple store after spending over an hour troubleshooting with Apple staff. There was an update to the iphone app last night. I download it, followed all the steps above, and, it still doesn't sync. I contacted Nike via twitter DM and their suggestion was to unpair the device. Unpair?! I can't even get my phone to discover the Fuelband!! Can someone please explain to me how something so highly touted, bluetooth sync, could turn out to be such a cluster? I'm very disappointed with Nike right now.

Again, waiting for the second update. This is what they said today:

Thank you for letting me know and appreciate your patience throughout this! I am told that another update is coming real soon that will solve the issue for the remaining consumers that are encountering this issue, however I have no timeframe on this. Please sync through your computer in the meantime and as soon as we have an update, you will be one of the first to know!

This is my second update it seems that NIKE customer services are clutching at straws I'm very disappointed with NIKE they don't seem to grasp that it isn't the app it's the bluetooth connection with the iphone .

My second response from NIKE,

I'm glad to hear that you have the new FuelBand SE, I'm sure you will add a lot of Fuel to your profile.

I'm sorry to hear that the FuelBand SE is not connecting via Bluetooth to your app, could you please let me know the following:

- Device generation

- App version

- You installed the app for the first time or upgraded?

Could you please also do the following:

- Log out from the app > turn bluetooth off > restart your device > plug and unplug your device from the computer (allowing Nike+ Connect to open) > turn bluetooth on > log back in to the app.

- Try to link again.
