Another IPhone user had access to my whatsapp messages , is this possible without the login details to iCloud ?

What does iCloud have to do with whatsapp? They are seperate apps/services and not even made by the same company.

Whatsapp messages can be saved to iCloud. However, I have received various opinions but it all comes back to the use of iCloud . My phone shares the same wifi with those at work. My colleague informs me of knowing my group chats and history via whatapp. Can this be done through hacking or is it glitch with iCloud ?
