My Ipod touch 5th generation's casing is completely broken, including the screen. Im not sure about the hardware but the buttons dont work, but when i receive notifications it turns on. I want to know if apple will replace my device without a receipt because i cant find mine.

You will have to take it to Apple for examination. They will tell you afterward if they will replace it.
Devices with damage are generally not replaced for free. They are usually replaced as an out of warranty replacement for which there is a charge.
If yoou iPod is defective. within warranty and not abused (e.g. dropped), Apple will exchange it for a refurbished one at no cost. Otherwise the exchange price is $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs.
