Q: message saying bluetooth is not available

I am unable to connect to my mouse and keyboard.

Nothing has changed and I am getting a message saying bluetooth is not available.

It I go into the system preferences, it won't allow me to turn blutooth on.

Any ideas?

First make sure the batteries are good and the device is turned on.

You can try a SMC reset:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Also try a NVRAM/PRAM reset:
Power off, power on holding OPTION + COMMAND + P + R

hold until you hear the start chime 2 times then release, reboot
