Q: Computer is not booting after installing mavericks

i have a late 2009 imac and downloaded mavericks.  It installed and the computer rebooted.  Now it is in some weird and awful loop. The computer begins to boot and then it gives me the“Your computer restarted because of a problem” message and then goes to to the gray apple screen. It will sit there for about 2 minutes and then the screen turns half black with a bunch of code about kernels. No clue on how to fix it. I've removed all attached peripherals.

iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), Safari 6.0.5

    That's called a kernel panic ...

when the computer starts hold shift before the chime. if it goes to your log in screen great. log in, then go into your system preferences, users and groups, login items. remove any 3rd party applications. Then go into finder>under the go menu select computer, go into macintosh HD then into library and remove all items from these 3 folders. LauchAgents, LaunchDeamons, and Startupitems. you have an incompatable file running on your computer, if that does not work call Apple care you have phone support since you upgraded to mavericks.
