Find my iphone gets disabled on ipad running iOS 7

Hi,

A peculiar thing is happening with my iPad2 wifi after upgrading to iOS 7.

Find my iPhone keeps getting disabled on its own and I have to keep enabling it every couple of days.

I keep getting the prompt for verifying my iCloud password and even after that it doesnt get backed up to iCloud.

I have reset the ipad and sysnced all apps, music instead of restoring from teh backup but the problem persists.

Does Anybody having any problems like this and have an answer?

You may want to try this:

1. Backup iPad

2. Setup iPad as new. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

3. Test iPad thoroughly

4. If everything is fine, restore backup to iPad

I have tried this several times, first I erased and restored and when it did not solve the problem, I erased everything and set up the iPad as new and then painstakingly installed all the apps I need, but the problem is persisting. Problem has cropped up after iOS 7 it really is irritating.

Do not restore from backup until it is thoroughly tested.

Are you saying that iPad still have problem when setup as new?

Be careful if you get email asking you to reconfirm Apple ID and Password.

Someone may be trying to hijack your User Name and Password.

I am seeing exactly the same behavior. I have not figured out a solution yet.

I didn't even realize it had turned itself off until I misplaced my iPad around the house and tried to find it.

Firstly am glad that at least one more person is facing the same problem 🙂

The problem seems to be big one,

iCloud on my iPad 2 gets disable, i.e. Mail, contacts, Cal, Reminders, Safari, Notes, Passbook, Photos, Documents and Data Along with FIP gets disabled. Later on I found that even iCloud Backup gets disabled.

I have enabled all yesterday and now when I fire up the Find my iPhone on my iphone, it shows the iPad as offline.

Looks like something to do with some setting on the apple servers which is disabling the icloud features on the ipad.

I thought this issue comes from after Syncing with my MBP, but am not sure as it is not consistent. Hope some one at apple finds out the problem and fixes the issue. Or maybe disabling icloud features on the ipad is the only solution.

Now it is getting freaky, For 7 days from 21st to today the 27th everything was working fine, but today after coming back from work when I checked the iPad2, except for find my ipad everything under the icloud was disabled, even icloud backup. I am the only user of the ipad.

Seriously cannot believe that there can be an issue like this with iOS 7, Looks like a beta version definitely is working like a beta software.

Or should I be asking if my iPad is possessed lol???

Hopefully Apple will fix this thing with the next release and do it fast. With this the whole anti theft feature of iOS 7 is useless if it keeps disabling Find my iPad and icloud backup.

Someone mentioned that when he fiddle with the Restriction setings, he manage to solve the Find My iPhone disabling problem.

Daivonex, I am sure you are trying to help but your answers are vague and doesn't really help in solving the problem. And I really don't think any one is trying to hack my account nor there any connection with the restrictions settings.
