Safari 7.0 won't play YouTube videos correctly.

Since upgrading to Mavericks and Safari 7.0, YouTube videos will only play for a few seconds before stopping. There is no audio, and if I click play nothing will happen, however by scrubbing forward or backwards it will continue to play for a few more seconds before stopping again. I have emptied my cookies to no avail.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.

Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings

Not empty the Safari cache.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.

Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar

Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.

Now try a video.

I picked up the following from another thread - and it worked for me.

Safari Preferences > Extensions> set on/off button to off>quit Safari>re-open Safari. From mute You Tube videos to full sound in 5 moves after months of trying other things. (Sound still working when on/off button put back to on.)
