Emoji scrolling difficulty iPhone 4 iOS 7.0.3

Now with iOS 7.0.3 on iPhone 4, very difficult to swipe to next page on emoji keyboard . Instead of swiping to next page, it selects the emoji icon at the end of the swipe. Suspect this problem liked to delayed keyboard response seen on iOS 7.0.3.
