In Keynote '13 the Table Styles are not working like other object styles?

For charts, shapes, text ext. I can right click on the style pane and Apply, Redefine or Delete a style which allows me to ultimately customize the styles for a master. However, when I select a Table element I can not access this same functionality. I've tried selecting the table in different ways as well as editing the Table and then saving the file as a theme to see if any changes stick with no success. Am I missing something obvious or is this possibly a bug in the current version of the program?
