Q: Kernel panic while updating MBPro 10.7
Hi everybody;
I've been ignoring the notification to update my mac since a while ago, but today i was too annoyed with the notification and decided to do it. After I clicked "Update All" a gray screen appeared and the update was going on well, until the "Error in update" message showed up. The only option was to click "OK" which I did. The computer stayed on the same screen for a while. I was able to use trackpad. finally I shut the computer down manually. So I held down the power button. restarted and the same gray screen appeared with the following information:
panic (cpu 0 caller 0xffffff8004859241): "Unable to find drive platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-2050.20.9/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1 548

I googled panic (cpu 0 caller 0xffffff8004859241), seems like this error code never happened to anyone. or maybe it has nothing to do with error codes.
Tried to boot the computer in Safe Mode, but holding down the shift key didnt help.
I use a MacBook Pro 13.3", 2.9GHz Core i7 (3520M), running Mac OSX 10.7
I appreciate any ideas to help me out of this situation!
