Facebook update not updating

It just downloaded and installed for me then (10 November 11am AEST), wasn't working for me yesterday on my iMac or iPod touch.

I deleted Facebook. Went to safari, loaded Facebook on there and when I logged in it asked to move it to home screen. That worked for me

Had the same problem yesterday, I deleted the Facebook app from iPad then sync with MAC and get the old Facebook app. Today, I managed to update.

when you press update in appstore go out off appstore, double click on home button swipe app store upp then rebot your device by holding the home and power button for 10-15 seconds after that it should download the update. this worked for me.

this problem was fixed yesterday with the app. just attempt to update and it works fine. no other "made up" fixes needed to get it to work.

I'm reading posts from people saying this is fixed. I don't think has been resolved. When I tried to install yesterday it did install but I was not seeing full information. When I logged in through the app I only saw half the people in my chat but when I was in safari I saw more people and more content in news feed. I think if this was fixed we would see a current date for this fix under updates but mine still shows the date of November 8th when this fix came out. I haven't seen any responses from Apple or Facebook saying this is fixed. Don't know about anyone else but I'm using the 6.6 version until I know this is corrected.

Will someone from apple please respond to this issue?

Hey there, try to delete the app and reinstalling it again from the cloud... That worked for me.

Tried... Not sure if right. Seeing more people in my chat when went back to 6.6 then when I did update.

I know how to fix this, go into settings and into Facebook then sign into Facebook frm the settings app after that it should let u download Facebook

Having the same prob, it blocked my Facebook completely so I had to open Facebook on Safari. I rebooted my iPhone, changed the date to 8th November and then clicked on it (it wasnt blank by then - the Facebook icon came back). It uploaded the app and now it works again!

Same problem here -- with the same unsuccessful fixes that everyone else has tried. I deleted the app and am seriously considering never reinstalling it. Facebook's iPhone app has consistently been more of a problem than almost any other app I have (which is over 150). That's quite a feat for one of the Valley's leading companies. For the dwindling amount of time I spend on FB now, I'll just use Safari.

Honestly, I wonder if this doesn't have to do with the privacy settings being removed... I had the same issue as the people here.

For the past week, everytime I was browsing the site on a PC, I had refused to select the acknoledgement of the privacy changes. I loved my profile being private and unsearchable

The update (not a brand new install) of FB kept on crashing on my Iphone 5 over the weekend.

Until... I went on a PC and clicked on the"I undertsand" pop up that didn't want to go way this time and was making the browsing of the website impossible.

Guess what... my profile, that used to be private, turned into public and the Iphone update worked fine this time. Suckers!

So, I can now update and use FB on my Iphone.

As my profile is now fully public, I have no choice but to delete the app and close my account.

For those of you who did not accept the privacy change, it was probably done in your back by batch over the weekend, which could explain why even if you didn't agree to anything, as you were forced to, then it is now working.

Long story short, even though my theory is probably not the thruth, I am leaving facebook!
