They're pretty in-depth and detailed, but both are applicable to the symptoms you're encountering, so I'd give the troubleshooting steps within a look.

Nov 20, 2013 7:10 PMby alexsm77,HelpfulI had the same problem few months ago, it was temporary resolved by removing back cover and cleaning from the dust (well, there was almost no dust inside). But now it's back again. Probably it's a problem with ssd or sata controller (Nvidia MCP89). And it's definitely not a software problem, because these freezes happen even in apple's diagnostic utility, booted from the USB flash.
