terminal not working

Hello, the short story is that I had plenty of junk in my root directory. By mistake I erased (rm -rf) the bin folder.

Now my terminal is not working, it says someting like "last login: the date" and then "[Process completed]" and it's not working.

I can not restore my computer because I never used time machine.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
