"Mail days to sync" BRING IT BACK!!!

WE spend way too much time trying to fix the problem of OVER synced emails!!!! 1000s of emails showing up on my phone. Gone are the days when this phone was a great way to keep in touch with the office as I traveled. I have dropped the email from my phone. It is rediculous that Apple IT can not fix (bring back the feature that allowed you to sink a set number of days to pick up). Now it has become a serious frustration to use the email feature. Also, when I delete an email off my phone it deletes it from the server and my desktop !!!! It was so simple when it was iSO 3, 4, 5 ... now it is a mess. The problem has been highlighted by customers for months now and NO RESPONSE from Apple!!! You are seriously driving me to consider the other pads and phones for my next purchase. We pay way too much for these devices to be plagued with super slow program corrections and repairs!!!! VERY FRUSTRATING. You will soon lose a loyal customer.

QUESTION : when will Apple fix this problem? We all want the feature "Mail Days to sync" back AND the option that leaves the deleted email from your phone on the server, so it is still there when we get to the office!!!!

Sorry pompous ... But you are wrong. the 5s phones using iso7 system dropped that feature. I now have thousands of unread emails and can not find any way to limit this to any time period. No problem on my earlier phones. It could be set to pickup unread messages for 7 days up to 30 days. Perhaps I am missing something, maybe you know where this feature is now hidden?

Sorry but my new iphone does not have "Mail Days to Sync" . I know exactly what you are showing, problem is that is not an option on the new phone. I can not select any limits. I would paste my screen shot to show you, but don't know how to do that. Is it possible this feature is turned off? Are you using the latest iPhone?

Hi Templeton Peck,

sorry to wake sleeping dogs, but I'm having the same problem as Jcrrr. For starters, I can't even get to the screen that you've copied above. When I tap on the name of my e-mail account, I get a different menu, namely one that displays "pop-account info", which unfortunately doesn't include the "mail days to sync" option. The only really useful option is "advanced", but that only allows you to decide how deleted mails are handled, not how many mails are initially synchronized by the iPhone.

Could this be because iOS handles POP and IMAP accounts differently? Presumably yours is an IMAP (or an enterprise) account, whereas Jcrrr and I have a POP account account...

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Many thanks

PS: I'm on iOS 9.3.2 on an iPhone 6s
