Q: How do I erase one note and rewrite with another, ie. change an 1/8 note to a dotted half?

I need help in changing notes, such as 1/8 or 1/16 notes to others, like half or dotted half, etc.

Can someone give me steps involved.  I treid to find this in the Users Guide, but had no luck in getting the answer.

Also, is there someone who offers a instructions in the use of Logic Pro 8.
