Every time I try to install an extension in Safari (I'm using the latest version, the 7.0) I get the following message:
"Safari could not install this extension. An error occurred while installing the extension"
Does anyone know what is happening or how can I solve this?
MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9)
Might be corrupted extensions preferences. (.plist)
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Safari/Extensions/Extensions.plist
Click Go then move the Extensions.plist file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari then try installing an extension.

Which extension are you trying to install ? The exact name? It may be a problem with the installer, not your browser.
I tried to install "turn off the lights" right from the extension gallery. But the error persisted with every other extension i've tried.
You are logged into your admin account ??
You aren't the only Safari user that's having issues with installing Safari extensions since upgrading to Mavericks.
Best to hold off for a bit and if you wouldn't mind, providing feedback to Apple > Apple - Mac OS X - Feedback
