Maverick keeps logging me out

Since installing Maverick on my MacBook Pro I am being logged out of my admin account after the computer goes to sleep despite having set the:
Users Groups->Login Options->Automatic Login

That was how I had it before Maverick so that whenever I started my computer I wouldn't have to log in nor would I have to log back in after a display/hard drive sleep.

Of course I expect to log back in if I have switched user accounts and that is happening as normal.

Any thoughts ??

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2008), OS X Mavericks (10.9), MacBook Pro 4,1 4 Gb RAM

I am having a similar issue with a mac mini. Before I sometimes would have to enter my pw to get back in but apps would still be running, but now the apps need to relaunch.

Let me know if they work. Most notibly the PRAM resets.

I will give them all a try.
Repairing permissions right now. I should have thought of that one myself as it's a basic bit of Mac housekeeping.

Will let you know how I get on.

Repaired permissions (twice)

Zapped the PRAM (or the NVRAM)

But I am still being logged out after the computer has slept.
Guest accounts don't seem to have the same problem though

Yep puzzle for sure. I have my mac mini set to not sleep and I was still being logged out. Left it sit since i posted and wasn't logged out. No idea what's going on.

Try going to: System Prefrences -> Security & Privacy -> (click the Lock icon and unlock if necessary) -> click "Advance Button" (bottom right corner) then un-tick the "Log out after ... minutes of inactivity"

That is not the problem in my case since I do not have this option checked. Another Mavericks glitch no doubt!

I have a 2013 macbook pro with retina display with Mac os x upgraded to 10.9.1, i got the exact same issue, i get logged out like crazy, i am a programmer, my laptop is my workstation, this is really driving me crazy.

Do you happen to have an external display attached? Is you Mac attached to a domain? I've having similar issues and after reading all the threads I'm attempting to try and track it down. I have a bunch of Mac's I can test with but the common culprit still seems to be an external display.

Try ticking the box in the window that pops up before you shut down/restart, if it's unticked. Not sure how it's at all relevant to the sleep function, but it worked for me (20" 2007 iMac). Good luck!
