Does the iPod touch 5th gen 16GB have 2 cameras?
I've just bought an iPod touch 5th generation 16GB and I'm wondering why it only has a front camera?

It's obvious; the 5th generation iPod touch 16GB model does not support 2 cameras.
Because this the budget version of the iPod touch. The 16 GB version only comes with one camera (front camera) and no loop, and only one color. (Black/Silver)
I could OBVIOUSLY support 2 cameras as the ipod touch 4th gen 8gb does have front and back cameras...
There is no back camera on the 5th gen itouch because apple wanted to release a cheaper version for customers with lower budget
The 32 & 64 gb versions of the ipod touch 5th Gen do have a back camera on them

I think it was a bad desicion to put just 1 camera, i know they were thinking on the facetime app, but i preffer to have a camera on the front, and anyway even the 8gb ipod 4th G have 2 cameras... i bought a 32 Gb 5th G but i had an accident and it got wet with ocean water so the tech saavy declared it dead 😟 a friend of mine sold me the ipod touch 5g 16gb and it was a bummer to notice that it hasn't camera on the front... feeling 😠
It only comes with one camera: the FaceTime camera (which is the front one). If you want a two-camera iPod Touch, you should buy the 32 GB or the 64 GB (like I have).
Jacobfeliciano, the post is over 6 months old and you just repeated information posted six months ago.
Obvious, so the iPod touch 5th generation updated their 16GB model on June 2014, and it had a rear camera, all devices have it except for the first iPad, and 3 iPod touches, none of these have a FaceTime Camera. No loop or colors is included.
I Have a 16GB 5 gen ipod touch (A1421). It has two cameras and a loop. Why is it different from you 16GB 5 gen iPod touches?
The device {5G iPOd touch} was initially only sold in 32GB and 64GB models. The first 16GB model, introduced on May 30, 2013, was only available in one color and lacks the rear iSight camera and the iPod Touch Loop that is included in the 32 GB models.[6] On June 26, 2014, it was replaced with a new 16GB model that no longer omits the rear camera and full range of color options. The pricing for the iPod Touch had also changed. The 16GB model is $199 instead of $229, the 32 GB model is $249 instead of $299, and the 64 GB model is $299 instead of $399.[7]
