Grapher 2.5 new in OS X 10.9 Mavericks

OS X 10.9 Mavericks has a new Grapher 2.5

Changes between Grapher 2.3 and 2.5 :

— noted a Grapher 2.5 modification : it is no more possible to drag on the 2D graph various pictures (PDF, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, EPS, etc.).

— It is still possible to drag a selected expression in a MathType window into the graph of Grapher.

— noted a Grapher modification : the animation commands open a pop-up window to name and save animations as QuickTime files ; the transitory sequence opening in Grapher has been removed.

— noted the Grapher modification due to bug nr. 29 “Do not use a coordinate name for an integration variable ; modify if necessary integrals created by Grapher.“

— checked the Grapher bug list, no change since Grapher 2.3.

The Examples of Grapher.

(Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Apple > Grapher > Examples)

The examples provided in Grapher are in most cases incompatible with the software supposed to build them : transfer their equations in a new window of Grapher 2.1 to 2.5 leads to failure.

To avoid these disappointments, all the examples have been reconstructed and rectified if necessary in Grapher 2.2 new windows ; this new folder "Examples" (12/1st/2011) completed with the forgotten old examples of Curvus Pro X, can effectively replace the original folder of Grapher versions 2.1 to 2.3.

All these examples rebuilt in Grapher 2.2 were verified in Grapher 2.5 and should replace those of the new version in OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

No new bug appeared during this audit.

Did anybody find other modifications in the new Grapher 2.5 ?
