My headphones jack stopped working correctly.

My headphones jack stopped working correctly. When I raise the volume more than half way the volume on the right earphones gets crackled and the left is deafed out. The earphones are not the problem, I know this because I checked on my laptop if they still work and they do. I dropped my iTouch 3 weeks prior to this and the screen is cracked. I was wondering if the year warranty would cover the headphone jack and they'd have my iTouch replaced for free.
