To try and resolve this issue, we will need to remove and reinstall the software for the unit. Please follow these steps to uninstall the software:
1. Close all running applications - including antivirus software.
2. Click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner.
3. Click on System Preferences, and double-click 'Printer and Faxes'.
4. In the Printer List dialog, select all the printers added to the Printer List and then click 'Delete'.
5. Open Library, Printers, Canon, and drag the BJPrinter folder to the Trash.
6. Open Library, Receipts, and drag any files that contain your model number as part of the file name. NOTE: DO NOT trash the CanonPrinterDrivers.pkg file.
7. Open Library, Image Capture, and TWAIN Data Sources, and move Canon MP560.ds to the trash.
8. In the Finder menu, select 'Empty Trash' to delete them.
9. In the Apple menu, click 'Restart'.
To install the unit for use over your network wirelessly, please follow these steps when the computer restarts:
1. Press the <Home> button.
2. Use the Easy Scroll Wheel to select Settings and press <OK>.
3. Use the Easy Scroll Wheel to select Reset Setting and press <OK>.
4. Select Yes to restore the factory settings, and press <OK>.
5. Use the Easy Scroll Wheel to select LAN Settings and press <OK>.
6. Use the Easy Scroll Wheel to select WLAN active/inactive and press <OK>.
7. Use the Easy Scroll Wheel to select Wireless LAN active and press <OK>.
8. Choose Wireless LAN Setup and press <OK>.
9. Choose Easy Settings and press <OK>.
10. Choose Mac Networking and press <OK>.
11. Enter your WEP key and press <OK>. Please take care when entering this number, it is case sensitive.
12. Press <OK> on the confirmation screen. The PIXMA MP560 will search for the access point.
13. When found, press <OK> on the Connected to the access point screen.
Please use the following steps to download the software for your unit from Canon's web site:
1. Visit Canon's website at: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer
2. Type PIXMA MP560 in the "Enter Your Model Name" box and click GO.
3. On the Support page for your unit, click the 'Drivers & Software' link in the middle of the page.
4. Choose [MAC OS] and [OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard] from the Choose Operating System drop down boxes.
5. Click on Drivers.
6. Click on the MP560 series Mini Master Setup.
7. Read the License Agreement on the next page, and if you agree, click on 'I Agree - Begin Download' at the bottom.
8. A File Download box should appear. When it does, select Save.
9. File will be saved automatically.
10. Once the download is complete, close all windows.
11. Open the Downloads folder.
12. Double click [mms_-mac-mp560-1_2-mcd.dmg] to begin the installation.
13. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
