Imported a CD into iTunes and won't sync to mt phone

I got a new CD and I imported it into itunes. Which went perfectly fine, because i can play the songs from the CD from itunes on my computer. Then I wanted to sync the songs to my phone... and for some reason it isnt working. it doesnt show up on my phone at all. But when I go into what's on my phone through itunes the songs from the CD appear grey with these circles next to them.

Could anyone please help me fix this issue? Thank you!

I had the same thing happen to me. The grayed out songs with a zero next to them. And then some songs sync, but not others.

I found a solution that worked for me for both my iPhone 5s and my iPad 4:

1) Uncheck the new songs you want to sync, along with all other songs from that artist, in your playlist in iTunes on your computer.

2) Use the USB cable to sync (turn off WiFi first on your iPhone).

3) After the sync completes, close iTunes on your computer.

4) Unplug your USB cable from your iPhone.

5) Open iTunes on your computer.

6) In your playlist in iTunes on your computer, check all of the new songs you want to sync, along with all other songs from that artist.

7) Plug in the USB cable to your iPhone.

8) After syncing, all of your songs should have synced to your playlist on your iPhone.

There must be a glitch in the new iTunes update that Apple will need to fix with another update. At least this workaround works until then. It was frustrating that it took me two days to figure out a solution, but I hope that others see this and are spared some of the misery I went through.

I hope you've been able to solve your problem by now, but if not: I was able to figure this out after a couple of hours of playing around.

First, I had to turn off Automatically sync.

  • To find this option, plug your iPhone into your computer. If iTunes doesnt auto load, open iTunes.
  • Click the iPhone in the left-hand menu under Devices. iTunes should open the "Summary" page.
  • Under the "Options" section, uncheck "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected"
  • Check the "Sync only checked songs and videos

Second, you need to select the albums, songs, playlists, etc that you want to sync

  • You should still be in the Summary tab of your iPhone device
  • At the top of the page click the Music button
  • Make sure the "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" radio button is selected
  • Below, select the albums you want to by sync'd to your iPhone.
  • At the bottom of the page, click the Sync button.

What I had to do after hours of resets and resyncs as recommended by all the other posts was to take all my music and audiobooks off the computer and place on an external hard drive... I then delete any trace of itunes from my computer and then reloaded itunes... placed the songs/books I wanted on my iphone from the external harddrive back into my music folder. I then added all these files to itunes and resynced my phone. My files too are imported from CDs and the CDs are long gone. I hope this works for somebody else too!

My main issue is that it just won't go to my iPhone. In the library it shows that I should have all the songs from all the albums I want, but they don't show up on my phone. I'll click all of the ones I want, click apply, it looks like the music will be loaded (the data bar shrinks), but right before the sync ends, it reverts (empty data bar gets big again). Is it something with the phone or the software?
