Fail to update mac software because "none of the selected updates could be installed. A network error has occurred. Check your connection, and then try again."

I've been trying to update my software for weeks, and every time it runs the update it immediately says "none of the selected updates could be installed. A network error has occurred. Check your connection, and then try again." I've tried restoring all app permissions in the disk utility, putting the apple permissions folder in the trash, and running on different networks but they all say the same answer. Any help?
I'm running on the Lion 10.7.5
