Before in GB 6 I could change the grid/ruler divisions in both the editor and timeline to make snapping to grid easier. However, I can't find that option in GB 10 which makes adding triplets nearly impossible in a 4/4 time signature. Any Suggestions?

All I could find is the "Time Quantize" option for software instruments tracks in the Track Editor.
the "midi Draw" button toogles between the options "Time Quantize, Transpose" and the Controller settings. The "Quantize" will allow you to enter triplets, but it will not change the visible grid.
they always come out as whole notes.
When I enter the notes with cmd-clicking in the Editor window they will be entered as quarters, not whole notes. The quantize will only work, if you enter the notes by playing them, for example using the Musical Typing window, or a midi keyboard.
I only use the Track editor to correct mistakes, when I play the notes.
You may want to send feedback to Apple, that the Grid adjustment is needed (or if it is there and hidden somewhere, cannot be found 😁)

Yeah, I found that too, but it won't actually change the length of the created notes, only the position. The grid in v6 let me drag out and snap notes to triplets. I don't know of a way to actually create notes as triplets. they always come out as whole notes.
Yeah, the funktion where you easily could change the grid is gone in GarageBand 10, which is a real disappointment. 😟
