Cannot switch of time announcement

Hi there,

Though it would be funny to have an hourly time-announcement from my mac. After few times however it becomes boring, but now I cannot switch it off? I have unchecked the "tell what time it is" in system-preferences->clock but it still tells me the time annoyingly..

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
