Logic pro is really slow on my MBP i7 2.7GHz

My MBP system contains

Intel i7 2.7ghz

8GB ram

500gb hdd

My macbook pro is really slow for logic performance. One my recent song project where i used some mendatory plugins from waves bundle, but later when i reopened the project i cant even play, is stucks with a message. I tried the same project on my friend's MBP which is core i5, 2.3ghz, 4 gb ram. its working perfectly there, even i can use more plugins, but it never stucks. My mbp is getting slower. i cant multitask programs, it becomes slow, while logic is opened, if i play a video either Youtube or from hdd, its really slow and stucks.

Any solution? anybody ?
