Safari stopped playing my website videos

I have a website with video: dimenovelfilms.com It is written in simple HTML. Safari has been playing these videos for years. Then last week Safari stopped playing them. They still play on Internet Explorer and Firefox, but not on Safari. Anybody have a hint or clue why this happened or how it can be corrected?

Big Thanks for any tips. I did try all those suggestions for the Flash Youtube video but they didn't work. The videos on my site are H.264.

Try troubleshooting Safari extensions and third party plugins.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

I went to Safari > Preferences > Security tab and deselected: Allow all other plugins.

Quit, relaunched.

Then there was no video player on dimenovelfilms.com So I figured this was the souce of the problem. Went to the troubleshooting plugins link, figured it was DivX, deinstalled - then quit, relaunched, and now it WORKS!!!!!

What the ... it would have taken me forever to figure that out.

Big thanks, Carolyn. but is there any way for me to reinstall DivX without it shutting down my vid player? Why do they do that? How does that happen? Totally bothersome. Anyway, thanks for your help, it's now up and running again. Appreciate your help and responce.

No need for all those bells, whistles, and checks as recommended above.

Just quite and restart Safari. The videos will once again play. For a while.

Of course, you lose all your tabs either way and give the CPU some unwanted exercise. It is annoying that Safari suddenly stops playing videos after you've played a few.

If there's a simpler way to get Safari to acknowledge videos without having to restart the **** thing, please post. Thanks
