Q: how can I find a previous icloud back up?

How can I find a previous icloud back up? I think the one that is listed as "latest backup" is the one after I tried to update ios, failed, and had to restore the whole phone. I want to get to any prior backups.

If my photos were shared on a stream with others, do I still have them/ retrieve them?

You should see all your existing backups in "Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage".

Yes, shared photo streams should still exist, but sometimes it takes little while until they appear again.
