My Mac never stops "Moving calendars to server account." What's wrong?

I started the transfer two days ago, but it's never finished. I can't quit Calendar, and forcing it to quit makes no difference when it is restarted. I can see that calendars on my iPod and iPad have synced, but I still can't get to the Calendar program on my Mac, where I'd like to make changes. I also need to be able to print specific calendars and dates, but I don't see any way to do that on the Web iCloud Calendar.
