Why is my windows 7 running EXTREMELY slow?

Hey everyone,

I bought a Macbook pro 15'' a year and a half ago.

After a few months, the windows partition started functioning slowly.

Every now and then, while working on windows, the screen went all blue and the laptop restarted itself. Without doing anything, that problem stopped showing up. But I have another problem now, my computer runs EXTREMELY slow when I'm using the windows partition; I've cleared everything out of my Mac partition -no music, no videos, no photos and that is also slowing down with time.

Here are the specifications of my laptop:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2675QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz 2.20 GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (2.16 GB usable)

System type: 32-Bit Operating System

Any tips? Is it because the 8.00 GB RAM is not used completely by Windows? (''2.16 GB usable) ?
