Q: Suddenly slow iMac

My iMac has suddenly gotten very slow. This is effecting all apps and the download times for both email and Safari are very slow. Again, this is all of a sudden. It is an earlier Intel iMac but is running Lion.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Not enough free storage space can slow your Mac down.

Click your Apple menu  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage

Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
