I downloaded Mavericks on a Mac that I have several users on, when ever we try to use a shared Numbers file it tells us that we need an update for Numbers, can anyone help me.

I downloaded the Mavericks on a computer that I have several users on. Now when we use a shared Numbers file it keeps telling me that I have to download a newer Numbers. I have been unable to us it. Can anyone help
