Q: Please help. Kernal panics

Hi all. Please help. I am on my second harddrive failure with the second one being diagnosed by apple genius as the MacBook Pro kept freezing. I have now fitted a new harddrive and also installed a fresh os to sort this out.

 

However just finished installing the os and I am getting the kernal panics.

 

I'm stuck with what to do next. Any tips ?

    I just had another kernal as it re-booted. Also worth noting I am in safe mode at the moment and that appears OK......

    Does the panic occur regardless of whether you are running off of battery or AC power?

    Warmd_agent is responsible for populating the user's recent items list upon login...the corresponding process is incidental though, here. There is an underlying issue.

     

    1) Try resetting the SMC:

    Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Support - Apple

     

    2) Since you can boot into safe mode, check for software update. If you are installing fresh, there may be a firmware update for your machine needed:

    EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Macs - Support - Apple

     

    3)  I have now fitted a new harddrive and also installed a fresh os to sort this out.

    Did you do this yourself? If so, attempt to reseat the drive.

     

    Make sure the firmware on the HDD is up to date as well:

    4) Run the Apple Hardware Test on your machine/ bring your machine in for service. This is a hardware issue if all else failed.

    Thanks for this, I have just gone through those steps and it allowed me to download and update to maverick. Thought all was sorted but got another kernal.

     

    Any ideas what this is meaning ?
