Q: My macbook air won't transfer my iTunes purchases to my iTunes library

So i recently authorized my macbook air to play my iTunes purchases. Problem is, once I did that, I have no clue how to get the music I have already purchased onto my computers iTunes library even though it says in my account I have bought plenty of music. How do I get my songs onto my computers iTunes library?
