I'm trying to update to Snow Leopard 10.6.3 on my iMac (purchased version online, I was told it was the disk I needed for my computer) and when I put the disk in it ejects after about a minute without doing anything. Any suggestions...?

You mean you can't boot on the DVD, or that it ejects after a while when you're already running OS X?

If the former, you must keep the Option/Alt key down on startup to get a choice either to boot from your installed OS X volume or from the DVD. If the latter, it could mean you have a problem with your SuperDrive. I had one of those myself, and I had to have it replaced by Apple (at no cost, thanks to AppleCare).
