Q: Apps being upgraded to incompatibility?
Lately a few applications that I used to use are giving me an error message during updates saying I need a later version OS to run them. The problem is I have an iPod Touch 4G and they say they aren't making an iOS 7 update for this device.
Both 'Find My Ipod' and 'Podcasts' show this error message. So far, the 'Podcasts' app has still worked - at least I'm still able to download them to my iPod, but when I tried to 'Find My Ipod', the application does not even see my device anymore. Should I be worried that the lack of this update means that one day 'Podcasts' (or many of my other apps) won't work anymore either?

As ffiti said, the app version you have should continue to work.
