'empty' in bookmarks

In the grey column with bookmarks suddenly there's a blanc space with 'leeg' which means: 'empty'.

When I open the bookmarks by clicking bookmarks in the toolbar it is nowhere to be seen.

I can't drag it out so it seems I'm stuck with it.

What has happened here?
