My iPad this morning decided to turn off by itself!!!

My iPad this morning decided to turn off by itself, i was in the itunes store buying a movie and it went black for 1-2 seconds and went onto the home screen and then the apple logo appeared and rebooted itself i didnt even have to turn it back on it just came back on by its self?? why did this happen and is there something wrong with my ipad?? HELP!!!!!!!!! I decided to turn it off and leave it turned off for the rest of the day is this a good idea because i have allready done it!!😐

All software has bugs in it, and it's possible that a bug caused an abend and your iPad to reboot. If it becomes a regular occurence then you could try restoring to your last backup or back to factory defaults and resync your content (but make sure that you copy anything important off first if you do reset back to factory defaults).

Yes - my iPad has a couple of times just turned itself off when I've been doing something. If it remains as a one-off (or a rare occurrence) then it should be ok.

You can either leave it switched off or use it, it won't make any difference
