Apps missing from home screen

My girlfriend has an iPhone 5c that we just got her and she has Facebook downloaded in the app store and was on her phone until she did the new update (IOS 7.3) now its still recognizing that the app is downloaded in the app store but is not on her home screen and the phone wont find it in the phone at all. Please help! Its so frustrating.
