Q: The ipod update server could not be contacted????????

hey anoyone know whats up with my ipod touch trying to update it using itunes but it wont work it says the ipod software update server could not be contacted its my first time updating it i wasnt bothered to update it its the version 4.3.3 anyone know how ????????//

thanks in advance ohh and the ipods not jailbroken.

Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

yes most people who i asked told me to go into setting but it doesnt have software update????????

The Settings>General>Softwae Update option comnes with iPS 5. You have to update via iTunes to get to iOS 6.1.3, as high as the 4G can go.

my ipod when i go into settings>general software update isnt an option and when i try to do it through itunes it says the ipod software server could not be contacted i have tried turning off my router and also tried doing it later
how do you uninstall itunes then reinstall it??

control panel
internet options
Connections tab
Click LAN Settings
uncheck "use a proxy server"
