Outgoing iCloud mail SMTP problems on Mavericks

Hello all. I have a late 2009 27" iMac. Since i upgraded to Mavericks i no longer am able to send emails using my icloud account. I noticed that the mail.app don't save the SMTP information, and when i put the info on in, it doesn't save anything. I am also not able to use other apps (such as airmail), because when i try to add my icloud info on it, it says that it can't stabilish a conection with the smtp 587 port (or any other port that i try). Is it something that i can do besides lay down and wait for an update? - since it is crealy a bug in 10.9 (the same thing is happening in my macbook pro and macbook air).

Mail.app-OTHER, OS X Mavericks (10.9), I'm able to receive messages tough

Go to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Mail, restart your Mac then go back and check Mail again. This removes, then adds back your iCloud email account. (All of your email will remain in iCloud and will reappear on your Mac when you check Mail again.)

I did that already. I even reinstalled 10.9 and nothing. The same thing is still happening 😟

If you didn't alredy try, sign out of your iCloud account, restart, then sign back in (even if you reinstalled Mavericks).

Thanks for the help... But i already tried that too....Din't worked. I expended the all morning talking with the apple support here in my country. But they are awefull. I feel like i know more about "apple" than them. A few weaks ago they didn't even knew about the 10.9 upgrade.

Are you trying to add your iCloud account manually? In Mavericks your iCloud email account is automatically configured with the correct server settings when you check Mail in System Preferences>iCloud. Trying to change these settings will lead to problems.

Nope... I tried a few times because the apple support told me to change a things, but nothing worked. after that i changed everything back and then reinstalled Mavericks.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what else to suggest. There's a KB article here but I'm not sure it will help. Perhaps someone else here has a suggestion.

You might try posting over in the Mavericks forum as it sounds like this is a Mavericks issue.
