Hi,
Is there a way to make the default font size in OS 10.9 larger? My wife who is a little older has been complaining since the coversion to 10.9 that the font sizes are smaller and more difficult for her to read. This is true in Notes, Safari, Mail and other apps.

Try Zoom in System Preferences > Accessibility
For Safari. Command + or - will increase or decrease font size on a webpage.
And try a different display resolution.
Open System Preferences > Displays > Display > Scaled
For Mail. From the Mail menu bar click Mail > Preferences then select the Fonts & Colors tab.
