gift card doesnt work

Hi,

i buy gift card for my iPod touch 5gen. and i make a new account. I select option "none" and write in code form my gift card. I make account and change store to the United States. I try to buy app and they ask me for security questions, i write this and then said that i need first to complete billing informations and my gift card doen't work or what?

Help me.

iPod touch, iOS 7.0.3

Yes. However, you can

Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card

Then you should be able to redeem the gift card for paid purchases
