Does anyone know how much it will cost to get a Macbook Air 13" screen fixed? I bought it in 2011. I currently live in Melbourne.
So far I've seen prices range from AUD400+ So I really might as well buy a new laptop!

I wouldn't suggest going to a Apple Store to get your screen fixed as your machine is out of warranty anyway so it wouldn't be affected. Have you tried a 3rd party local computer/mac shop? They will charge you half the labour costs and the screen itself will more than likely be cheaper?

There are used screen options, or buying a "dead" macbook Air with a GOOD monitor on ebay and having a local computer shop installing it for "X" price ($100 or so U.S.)
You can get a good used one installed for around $380 U.S. total roughly.
