Powerpoint Text Boxes act weird after Mavericks Update!

I have this problem too, dont wate yout time with a clean downlaod - it does not fix the problem.

Do you have the 14.3.9 version of Office?

I didn't have any PP problems running Mavericks after I did the 14.3.9 update.

Yes. Before the 14.3.9 update, I had trouble with text boxes in PowerPoint - whilst running Mavericks. The update fixed it for me.

Not obvious but if you click in the text box and then hit escape you can do stuff like resize text for the whole box, nudge the box, etc.

It was driving me nuts. The updates did nothing for me but this solves my headaches.

This happened to me to. Even the IT department couldn't figure it out. Hitting esc seems to work. It's an extra step and I'm not sure why it's been set up this way with Mavericks but, least I'm not swearing at the office everyday.

saw that fix elsewhere online:

Apple system pref, -> keyboard -> shortcut tab -> all the way at the bottom select "All control" instead of "Text boxes and lists only"

alternatively there's a system wide shortcut to toggle that setting:

Control+F7 (don't forget the "fn" button if you are using a laptop)

go in your >>>>setting>>>click"keyboard">>>>select "shortcuts">>>

below there have 2 choses to u...u select "All controls"

i used tis method solve the issue tat same with u...;)

Oh man this was driving me crazy!!! esc seems to solve the problem for me. That system setting doesn't seem to affect it though?

Why did MS change that behavior so dumb.
