iPad Air - GPS/GLONASS

Does the iPad Air LTE support GLONASS navigation system as well? If yes, is this the first iPad to do so?

I am contemplating about getting the LTE version, if the GPS chip has been somehow improved (compared to the older model). Otherwise, I am going to get the wifi only version+ an external GPS.

Please help me decide!

GLONASS capability started in the 3rd gen (cellular) iPad, so I have to believe it is still a feature in the (cellular) Air even though the tech specs don't mention it specifically.

I don't know that there's been any improvement in GPS/ GLONASS performance (not that any was needed) but I'd say having the integrated capability is superior to having some add-on device, which may bring the Wi-Fi model's price right up to the cellular model.
