Nov 13, 2013 12:02 PM in response to jereloby matt00,Hello jerelo,
Thanks for the question. There are a couple of options to share your music between two computers, the following article outlines these:
iTunes for Windows: How to copy purchases between computers
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1727
Use Home Sharing
Transfer your iTunes content between authorized computers on your local network using the Home Sharing feature in iTunes 9 and later.
Burn a data CD or DVD with the song files
Burn your purchased items to a data CD or DVD. After you've burned the disc, insert it into another computer and import the items into iTunes.
Use an external hard drive
Drag files to the disk icon of an external hard drive connected to your computer. Connect the hard drive to the other computer, and import the songs into iTunes. You can also use your iPod as a hard drive.
Use your iPod and iTunes
You can transfer iTunes Store purchases that are synced with your iPod to any authorized computer (for example, from your home to your work computer).
Use file sharing
Turn on file sharing to copy files over a network.
In addition to these, you can also turn on Automatic Downloads:

Thanks,

Nov 14, 2013 10:33 PM in response to matt00by jerelo,Thanks for the links, I'm almost there. I turned on home sharing on the pc with the new music. Then I could view that pc, within itunes on a tablet. I can see the files I want in the shared pc's recently added playlist.
On the tablet, after viewing the new files on the homeshared music library, I don't see any way to ask itunes to copy these new songs to the local library. What's the actual procedure or button involved?

Nov 14, 2013 10:58 PM in response to jereloby jerelo,Oddly, when I retraced my steps, this time I could see the new "show" button in the lower left that has the option for "items not in my library". I selected that, and then clicked the settings button on the right, and selected music, to be automatically added, but this will only apply to new music. I found that I can select one song from the newly added playlist on the other computer, and then select import to move it to the local computer. But then to import all the new songs I had to press the control key and click one by one. Seems there no way to select a group. Rather clunky, but it's done.
