You can use any clean and soft piece of fabric but not something like towels, toilet paper, tissues because it will scratch your computer screen. I use a television screen cleaner and it works well. Before you clean, you should make the computer screen completely black or dim it so that you can see all the dirty areas.

If you are using a damp piece of fabric or something that is wet to clean your screen, make sure you dry it afterwards or else it will leave streaks.

If you are going to use some sort of solution to clean the screen, don't spray it directly on the screen. Spray it on a piece of fabric and wipe the screen with it.

Do not use Windex or something of the sort, use something that is made for gentle eyeglass cleaning with coatings.

I say DO use Windex, not the ordinary Windex, but this:

This is an excellent non-residue electronics cleaner that I found in the local super market.

Apply it with a fine microfiber cloth and then wipe dry with another microfiber cloth. The display will look like the day it came out of the box.

Ciao.
