I'm having trouble getting the TiVo desktop server on my new iMac. Any tips?

I just spoke with a Tivo support rep and they say their desktop isn't compatible with Mavericks yet. He didn't provide an ETA but said they've been getting a lot of requests for it.
I JUST downloaded the desktop with mavericks today (snow leopard or later edition). Hopes this helps!
Can you supply more info? From what I can read at TIVO's support page for this, they now only provide something called TIVO Desktop Plus, which they sell, and the system requirements for that seem to be only Windows. Where did you find a Mavericks compatible version to download, was it free (what is the full name or URL), how does it work, etc.? My goal is to download recorded programs from my TIVO to my Mac and then burn DVDs so I can watch the programs at my girlfriend's house on her TV. Thanks a lot.
