nrnissim,
I am running Mavericks as well and Skype does work for me. I would try uninstalling Skype and re-download the latest version from your site. I would also recommend in System Preferences under Security & Privacy. Allow apps downloaded from Mac App Store and identify developers. If the problem is still occurring try the anywhere option.
If this works let me know. If not I will still try and help. Best of luck.
Are you running the current version of Skype (6.9)? If not, when you open Skype, do Skype > Check for Updates from Skype's menu.
Thank you very much! I Deleted and re-downloaded and it works. I Appreciate your help.
....Here is another question: Is it possible to go back to my old operating software? I'm not loving this maverick....
:-(
It's slightly possible to go backward, but a much better approach would be to figure out what you don't especially like about Mavericks and correct it as best it can be corrected. After all, Mavericks will be the baseline for software moving forward from here, for both Apple and applications that run on Macs.
Hi nrnissim,

Another question I have is On the Home page of Skype it say's they have Skype downloads for outlook for firefox and for mac's. right now I have the one for outlook! Which docent allow me to SMS! If I was to uninstall it. And install the one for Mac's would there be a difference? Would the Download for Mac's allow me to SMS is what I'm really asking? thanks for all your help🙂
